Meet Rae Pearl.
Rae Pearl’s experience as a Clinical Therapist at a domestic violence shelter has prepared her for this role at Hope Restored in several ways. Rae Pearl developed skills in several critical areas of mental health, such as assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Second, she honed her counseling skills and techniques in individual and group therapy sessions, working with clients from diverse backgrounds, making her culturally sensitive. Likewise, she also gained experience collaborating with other mental health professionals and building professional relationships that support effective treatment.

She is confident that her strong and deep faith, empathetic and nurturing nature, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration strengths will be invaluable in this role. Her communication skills allow her to create therapeutic relationships with her patients and adapt her counseling style to meet their needs. Her critical thinking ability enables her to apply evidence-based psychotherapy methods, evaluate client progress, and develop effective and holistic treatment plans considering multiple solutions.

Finally, her experience with trauma-laden clients has given her a good grasp of what and how trauma-informed responses should look like.
